The Wanted- we own the night -character representation

The main male characters are represented as more dominant and have more power over the women, the women are the ones that go to meet the men at the b which shows they have control over the women. They play pool and drink beer which is quite a stereotypical reflection of what a typical group of men would do at the pub. They are also shown as quite respectful of the women they don't really exploit them in anyway
The main female characters are quite sexualised at the start of the clip because you see them in their underwear getting ready and so are quite exposed but they are also shown as a stereotypical group of girls that like to go out, they meet the men in the pub and they drink and play pool with them in the pub, they are not overly promiscuous but they just seem like an ordinary group of young girls having a good night

Casualty- how women are represented

At the start of the clip one of the women is seen as being quite annoying and inferior because on of the males is trying to change his shifts so that he doesn't have to work with one of the women anymore and he is trying to get away from her. The representation of women then starts to change as one of the paramedics who is at a car crash is seen working on her own which shows that women are quite independent. After this women are shown as being good team workers, powerful, assertive and good communicators as the clip shows a group of female doctors and nurses all working together to try and save the life of a man which shows that they are very knowledgable and good at what they do
